Congratulations to Free Solo on taking the Oscar. The cinematography was absolutely breathtaking. I can’t even begin to comprehend the skill it took to shoot this, Jimmy Chin and his crew are monsters. Interestingly enough, I was captivated most by Alex Honnold’s mindset. What he did/does is absolutely batshit crazy, MMA has nothing on free soloing. However, I do resonate with the odd fascination of accomplishing something great and the spirit it takes to do so.

Climbing to Greatness
Greatness only comes to those who endure and embrace setbacks, the grind, fear, and enormous pressure. Yes, being happy is pleasurable, but doing something meaningful pushes the universe forward. It’s essential.
Another quote from Alex:
“It’s about being a warrior. It doesn’t matter about the cause necessarily. This is your path and you will pursue it with excellence. You face your fear because your goal demands it. That is the goddam warrior spirit.”
